The University of Missouri-Columbia currently has 8 jazz combos consisting of seven members or less that rehearse regularly each semester. It is in these combos that members hone their skills while learning repertoire. Students have the opportunity to perform at university and local functions, giving them a professional working experience. Student compositions and arrangements are encouraged and performed in a creative atmosphere, with a strong emphasis on improvisation. Membership is open to all students regardless of major or instrument, by audition. See our home page for audition information.
